Frequently Asked Questions

What sets the AERO apart from the other THECUBER models?

With its drawbar section extended by 300 mm, the AERO offers more space for a mobile office and for transport.
Thanks to the increased space, it is now possible to fit a front-mounted bathroom and a side-mounted kitchen unit. This specification option was previously available exclusively on the tandem models.

What layouts and sleeping arrangements are available?

The AERO is available in two well-designed layouts, with a choice of three or four berths.

What comes as standard with the AERO?

As standard, the AERO features a practical worktop with a wall unit, a spacious front-mounted bathroom, a roomy tall cupboard and a comfortable longitudinal bed with a sleeping area measuring 1,750 × 2,000 mm (W × L). The rest of the interior fittings depend on the chosen layout and are optimally tailored to the respective room configuration.

Can I customise the features?

The AERO is available in two well-thought-out specification configurations and can be tailored to personal preferences and travel requirements with a range of furniture finishes and optional accessories. The result is a caravan that offers the perfect blend of functionality and comfort.

What are the maximum permissible weight and kerb weight of the AERO?

Depending on the single-axle configuration selected, the maximum permissible weight is either 1,500 kg or 1,800 kg.

The unladen weight of the enclosed box trailer is approximately 1,250 kg, depending on the specification chosen. This weight may vary depending on any optional accessories fitted.

Can the AERO be fitted with a shower and toilet?

Yes, it is perfectly possible to incorporate a shower and toilet into the front-cabin bathroom of the AERO.

Is the AERO suitable for winter use?

The fuel tank for the diesel auxiliary heater is housed in the drawbar box to save space, whilst the heater itself is discreetly installed in a tall cupboard. This ensures the interior remains fully usable without compromising on comfort.

How self-sufficient can I be when travelling with the AERO?

Thanks to their high-performance battery, our caravans are self-sufficient straight from the factory. For even greater independence, the specification can be optionally upgraded to include solar panels and a diesel auxiliary heating system – ideal for longer trips without an external power supply.

How fast am I allowed to ride the AERO?

You may drive it at speeds of up to 100 km/h on German motorways and main roads, just as you would with other THECUBER trailers.
Off the motorways, the speed limit in Germany is 80 km/h.

What type of towing vehicle and driving licence do I need?

To tow the AERO, you will need a towing vehicle with a permissible towing capacity of at least 1.5 t or 1.8 t, depending on the model chosen.

The german driving licence category required for your combination depends on the permissible gross weight of the towing vehicle and the trailer. You can find detailed information on driving licence categories B, B96 and BE on the ADAC website:
